Course Description:
Apparel and Textiles II is a class offered at two levels; Honors level and then the academic level is called "Enterprise".
While the classes are similar, Apparel II Enterprise is slightly less challenging with fewer requirements. The course content includes research in fashion design, project applications with Elements and Principles of design, and investigation of job opportunities and 21st century skills needed for employment in the Apparel and Textile fields. The creation of a class business for profit, during one quarter, provides a "real world" 21st century learning experience that makes the class very popular. Students brainstorm, develop, and create products to sell to the school and local community for a an actual entrepreneurship experience.
